established and run by Jane and Yirka Ritschny since 1986.

Situated on the doorstep of Abel Tasman National Park, the most popular national park in New Zealand, The Park Cafe is the ideal stop for a hot breakfast, a cup of coffee with a slice of our house-baked cakes, substantial lunch, woodfired oven pizza or indulging dinner.

Our reputation for delectable, European influenced food and friendly service has been growing since we were a small food kiosk. Over the last 26 years we have grown into one of the best eateries in the Tasman region and became a popular venue for music gigs and private functions.

Choose from our cafe-style menu in the daytime or a la carte dining menu in the evening (6pm - 9pm). Our drink menu offers a range of organic juices, fruit smoothies and a variety of local and international beers or wines.

The Park Cafe proudly serves up local delicacies - Nelson green-lipped mussels and scallops - especially delicious with a glass of fine New Zealand wine in a casual, relaxed yet iconic atmosphere.

At The Park Cafe we make traditional Italian, thin-crust pizzas with the unforgettable flavour of a woodfired oven. We make our own dough, tomato sauce and every pizza is hand-made on demand to guarantee its freshness. Our organic garden provides all the herbs we use to flavour and garnish your pizza.

We offer a great range of vegetarian and meat-lovers pizzas. No worries if you are gluten intolerant as we can make you a gluten free base too.

Come in and dine with us or have your favourite pizza packed in a take-away box and enjoy it at home or at your camp with friends or family.

The Park Cafe hosts regular live music during the busy summer months of December and January.

You can also come and check out talented local as well as international musicians playing on our stage at "Open Mic Night" every Thursday evening from 8.30 pm.

We have capacity for 150 seated guests (in- and outside) and we are happy to discuss your specific needs.
