What Makes the Park Cafe So Delicious
We love our Pizza Oven so much that we use it as much as we can! When its not cooking our gorgeous pizzas its used to make our breads, burger buns, slow cooked meats and smoked meats. Taste the difference!
Jane & Yirka have a beautiful property just down the road from the Park Cafe where their labour of love for working their land comes up with the goods. Salad greens, herbs, flowers, fruit for our smoothies, preserves and our house juice.. to name a few.
A huge part of growing delicious food is putting nutrients back into the soil. We do this by turning all of our food waste, alongside the left over barley from Hop Federation into gorgeous nutrient dense compost!
We pride ourselves in baking everything in house, from fresh daily muffins, beautiful cakes and cookies to our delicious burger buns and breads.
We have a location that is hard to beat! We are literally right at the entrance of the gorgeous Abel Tasman National Park. It is renowned for its golden beaches, sculptured granite cliffs, and its world-famous coast track.
The ambiance of the Park Cafe is something that has been lovingly created over the years by the talented people from all over the world that we have been lucky enough to have as customers and staff members. Their touches can be seen in the beautiful carvings and artwork scattered through our Cafe and in our tables and chairs, made from an assortment of beautiful timbers and hand crafted by local artisans.
The venue has an idyllic courtyard spotted with New Zealand natives and the views from our Garden Room look through native Harakiki to the iconic Adele and Fisherman Island seascape.
Live music at the Park Cafe has been a must have over the years, with the following legends gracing our stage; My Baby, Opiou, Lady Six, Corner Stone Roots, Tommy & Bunyip.
We also have weekly Open Mic Nights which never disappoints for a great time. Local and passing through musicians showcase their skills to an always packed dance floor.
Great spot, good food and friendly service
This a a fantastic place at the door of Abel Tasman National park. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space to chose from with a outdoor wood fire pizza oven. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful. The mussel where some of the best I have been eating in NZ and the pizza are fantastic with great topping and a perfectly cooked base in a wood fire oven just outside the front door of the Cafe. We went there few time during our stay in Marahau and were very happy with the food, Sweet, drinks and service each time we dined . Very good value for money in a magical setting just metre from the sea. Thanks very much for everything and we will be back soon I hope.
Charismatic Venue
The Park Cafe is just at the entrance to the walking tracks of Abel Tasman, a short walk or drive around from the Marahau beach area. Service was excellent, food ditto, and interesting.
Their pizza oven is only one aspect of the menu, but we loved the pizzas we had on one of the two nights we ate there.
Fantastic location, looking out over the rushes towards the sea, and back to the hills and the start of the National Park.
Just couldn't fault the Cafe for what it is - unpretentious and delightful.
The Best of the Best
If you don't stop here to have a pizza at least you will regret it.
First of all the vibes are so nice, second of all they really know what they are doing .. I never had a pizza so good here in New Zealand !! I ordered a pizza first and it was soo good that after that I wanted to try one of their burgers .. they make their own buns .. guys you are simply amazing..
Awesome Evening
Awesome restaurant, located at the start/finish of the Abel Tasman tracks. We arrived in Marahau and decided to eat here on our first night, little did we know what an amazing night it would be...
After enjoying really good pizzas and great friendly service, the restaurant (about 7pm) becomes a dance floor for Open Mic Night. The whole place was 'heaving' within a few hours with a great atmosphere, and awesome live bands.
We had such a great evening, perfect beginning to our 5 night stay in Marahau.
